About Me

I have loved animals all my life and have rescued many dogs, cats, ferrets, chickens, horses, birds of prey, parrots and small fuzzies.  My whole working life has been spent caring for a wide range of creatures. Over the years I have worked in riding stables, a cattery, boarding kennels and most recently 14 years as a zookeeper. I got to work with some amazing animals and gained experience in animal husbandary, behaviour and welfare. I also gained an ANC in The Management of Zoo Animlas that covers all aspects of animal care. I am trained in pet first aid. I currently share my home with 2 dogs, a cat, a parrot, 2 chickens and 13 ferrets. I keep saying no more animals but the head count seems to keep growing reguardless!
